Ireland remains attractive for consultancy business

Accounting firm Ernst & Young Ireland increased revenues by 5.7 per cent to 130.2 euro million in the year to the end of July 2012

E&Y has increased revenues in Ireland by 12 per cent over the past two years. It said growth was due to “significant client wins” and increases by all its service lines. Transaction advisory services grew by 29.1 per cent last year while advisory increased by 14.4 per cent.

The firm also announced the arrival yesterday of two new partners and said it was seeking to fill 30 senior roles across the business.

Mike McKerr, E&Y Ireland’s managing partner, said: “We have had a good year in challenging economic times. We continue to see opportunities to grow by helping our clients though these difficult times and while we anticipate a tough operating environment for the foreseeable future we remain determined to create jobs and invest in senior talent.”
